About Kevin Miller
Kevin Miller is the owner of Hood River, Oregon-based Bloom in the Gorge. She is a mother to daughter, Esme, and son, Graeme. During her 20-year career in commercial real estate appraisal and local government public service, Kevin practiced and applied the framework of conscious leadership within her teams and her home with great success. As she taught leadership and healthy self-advocacy skills to professionals from all walks of life, she often reflected, “If I would have learned these skills earlier, what would my life have been like?” After relocating to Hood River in 2024 to be closer to family, Kevin started Bloom in the Gorge to bring self-esteem and leadership skills to girls in the local area. Kevin is a leader who generates joy by bringing people together to create, celebrate, and connect. She is a highly responsible individual whose love of curiosity and growth shine through. Her experience in training and facilitating, leadership, and knowledge about girls give her a unique position to create an enjoyable and meaningful experience for individuals attending her workshops. In her free time, Kevin enjoys creative pursuits such as painting, reading, cooking, and live music.
Bloom in the Gorge provides enrichment programs for girls which takes inspiration from and operates in conjunction with Fort Collins, Colorado-based Blooming Girls, founded by Carrie Sheffield. These programs allow girls to dig deep into themselves and actualize what is most important to them. Kevin and Carrie love watching girls grow and become strong, independent women. Their goal is to take the skills learned at these enrichment programs and use them to become the best people they can be.
